To bear witness to the friendly relationship between Sik Sik Yuen and the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, the Yuen especially set up this monument to contribute to charity and good causes. The monument is inscribed with a mark made jointly by the Yuen and the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals in 1965, and it represents the Yuen’s wish to maintain a close cooperative relationship with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals to jointly contribute to the society and improve the well-being of the Hong Kong people.
